On 27 November, VINCI Energies Italia took part in a new episode of Radar, the in-depth format produced by URANIA News in collaboration with Formiche TV.
The talk focused on concrete strategies to combat gender-based violence, support women’s economic autonomy, and close the gender gap.
Representing our Group was Veronica Sambati, Senior Social Media & Digital Strategist Manager and sponsor of the “Ri-VINCIta di Genere” project, who presented the commitment of the newly established Fondazione VINCI Italia.
During the discussion, Sambati illustrated the Foundation’s approach. Established in 2024 and operational from 2025, the Foundation actively involves employees and collaborators in selecting and developing projects, promoting a participatory model of solidarity.
Among the initiatives presented, particular emphasis was placed on Ri-VINCIta di Genere, a project developed in collaboration with Lucha y Siesta, a women’s shelter and anti-violence center in Rome.
With the support of Carriere.it, the initiative has activated 100 training pathways to help women hosted by the center – as well as its staff – strengthen digital skills and re-enter the workforce.
As part of the programme, two in-person workshops on artificial intelligence are planned for February, focusing on its practical applications as an inclusive tool for developing transversal skills.
Alongside the Foundation’s activities, VINCI Energies Italia also shared the progress made within the organisation to reduce the gender gap in the technology and energy sectors, which have historically been male-dominated.
The main initiatives highlighted include:
The episode also featured contributions from Vera Pellegrino (Research and Studies Department, Caritas Italiana) and Andrea Cicconetti (President of Federfarma Roma), enriching the conversation with diverse perspectives on how institutions, associations, and businesses can collaborate to address gender-based violence in a systemic way.
The day after the broadcast, the good practices shared by VINCI Energies Italia were also featured in L’Economista, the economic insert of Il Riformista, which that week dedicated a special issue to combating gender-based violence and promoting women’s empowerment, with Minister Roccella on the front page.
A recognition that confirms the relevance and concreteness of the path undertaken by our Group.
